Read full description of the books:FINALLY A LOVE STORY WITHOUT ANY INSTA LOVE!Sorry, if it looked like I was screaming. It's been many books since I read a story with no insta love, where it didn't feel like the author was shoving two characters together instead of weaving a romance. My Sean: and my Gen : I loved how the romance slowly crept in without either of them wanting it to.I'm sick of reading stories where the author is trying way too hard, without putting any real respect and affection between the characters.Sean was an icicle, but he was an honest one, which I totally appreciate.I hate characters that pretend to be loving when they're just really abusive.Sean was blunt and rude and sometimes downright infuriating, but at least he wasn't manipulative and cruel, which to me is a huge plus.Another great thing about Sean is that he isn't a man-whore. THANK YOU, AUTHOR! Gen is sweet and amusing and loving, and unlike other YA girls, has the sense to know what is love and what is unhealthy obsession.Although, now that I think about it, she did throw herself repeatedly at the object of her unnatural obsession when things didn't go well with Sean.It didn't bother me much because, Sean needs to express more adoration towards her, so let him get jealous.I wonder how beautiful ice blue eyes look when they're filled with jealous fury...It was a lot of fun reading about Gen and her friendships.I liked how her world didn't revolve 24/7 around some boy.I also liked how the author gave distinct personalities to all the characters, especially her friends.Flop, Juin(?), Tuba all were awesome with Gen.I was so glad Gen didn't pine after Oliver, because that guy was seriously creepy and full of fake charm. You can totally tell that his chemistry with Gen isn't healthy or natural.Cole was an ass too.Good thing she got over him.The paranormal parts could use more...attractive descriptions. The story was written in an "I did this.I did that." kinda way and while it was okay, my opinion is that paranormal creatures and their abilities could have been written in a more alluring manner.Despite this, I had a great time reading this book, so much that I finished it in a few hours.
Read information about the authorI am a lover of sunshine and flowers to combat the effects of my somewhat overwhelming imagination. I love daydreaming, reading, and eating watermelon in the bathtub while I write.
My favorite people in the world are my readers, those who 'get' me. I love hearing how I can improve my writing as well as what I'm doing right. I love to connect with my readers and hear your thoughts, and totally fangirl with me about Captain Hotness.
